Valet holds what you tell it about the people you love. That is a serious thing to be handed, so here is exactly what happens to it, written to be read rather than to be survived.

We promise

• Valet never contacts your people. It writes to you. What you send is always your send. Someone who follows a page you shared hears from Valet only because they asked to, and only about that page.
• We never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to brokers, not to anyone.
• We never build a profile of someone across users. What you tell Valet about a person stays inside your account. Two people who both know the same person have two separate notes, and Valet never joins them. The only way something leaves your account is if you share a page, on purpose, with people you choose.
• We never buy or look up information about your people. Valet knows what you told it. Nothing arrives from outside.
• We never train shared models on what you tell us.
• Everything Valet holds is yours to see, edit, and delete. That is not fine print. It is the deal.

What Valet stores

Your account. Your email or phone number, and your subscription status. Payment is handled by our payment processor and we never see your card details.

What you tell it about your people, and about you. Facts, dates, preferences, and the plans you make. Some of this you type. Some of it comes from things you forward or say out loud to Valet. Each fact keeps a short note about where it came from, so Valet can show you why it suggested something.

What you write about yourself. On your own page you can answer a few questions in your own words. Valet saves each answer on your own page. If you have turned on AI, Valet also sends the answer to an AI model, which sorts it into things you are into, things you hope to do someday, and things to avoid. Valet shows you what it kept. If AI is off, nothing is sent and nothing is sorted. The sentence you wrote is never shared. Only the facts Valet kept can be: what you are into and what you hope to do can appear on a link, and things to avoid appear only if you turn that on.

How you use the app. Basic product analytics and crash reports, so we can tell what is broken. This includes recordings of app screens and where you tap. Every word, photo and typed entry is covered on your phone before anything is sent, so a recording shows the shape of a screen, never what is on it.

Sharing a page

You can share your page, or the page of anyone you keep in Valet, such as a child. Each person you share with gets their own link. You name it so you know which is which, and the name is only for you. For each link you switch on the topics that person may see, and they see only those. You send it yourself.

What a link can show. Their first name, their sizes, what they would like, gift ideas you saved for them, what they are into, what they hope to do someday, and their usual drink order. Things to avoid appear only if you turn that on. It can show your first name, so they know who sent it. It never shows your notes, their dates, places, memories, or anything about the plans you make. Wants you keep private, and wants you have marked as received, never appear.

Who can see it. Anyone who has the link, with or without Valet. Links are long and random, and the page tells search engines not to list it.

What people can do on it. Say they are getting something, so nobody doubles up. Adding a name is optional. Whoever shared the page sees who is getting what, unless the page is their own: then they never see it, so their gifts stay a surprise. A random code saved in the browser lets the person undo it.

Following it in Valet. Someone with Valet can add your page to their own page for you. It then stays up to date as you change it, and shows only the topics you switched on for their link. If a size changes, Valet tells them, never you, and they can mute that for each page. Follows are kept on their side only. You never see who follows or who opened a link. What they plan, save, or write about you stays theirs and never comes back to you. Reading a shared page never needs a subscription.

What we record. Who you sent each link to, because you named them. How many times a link was opened, and when. Never who opened it, and never who follows it.

Stopping. You can stop sharing with one person, or turn a link off, any time. It stops working and what they saw leaves their Valet. They can stop following on their side too. Their own notes, and ideas they saved, are theirs.

If someone added you to their Valet

You are reading this because a friend or family member uses Valet, and you may be one of the people they use it to show up for. Almost no product tells you this. We think you should be told.

What may be here. Things they know about you and wanted to remember. Your birthday. That you have been into ceramics lately. That your interview was on a Thursday. It is the kind of thing a thoughtful friend keeps in their head, kept somewhere they will not lose it instead.

How it got here. They put it there. They typed it, forwarded it, or said it. Valet did not look you up, did not buy anything about you, and is not reading your messages. It has no access to anything of yours.

Who else may see it. They may have shared a page for you, so family can line up a gift. That page shows your sizes, what you would like, and what you are into, to whoever they sent the link to. It can also show gift ideas they saved for you, what you hope to do someday, and your usual drink order, and things to avoid if they turned that on. Nothing else from their notes goes with it.

What it is never used for. We do not contact you. We do not advertise to you. We do not sell anything about you. Valet does not combine what one person knows about you with what anyone else knows about you, and we do not build a profile of you across accounts. The only way something one person knows reaches someone else is a page they chose to share, the same as telling them. Your information is used for one thing: helping the people who know you show up for you.

If you would rather not be in there. The most direct route is to ask them, because they can remove you in a few seconds and it is their notebook. If you would rather come to us, write to privacy@dynolabs.co and we will find and delete what we hold about you. We may need enough detail to identify the right records. We will not tell you who has you in their Valet, because that is their private information, and we will not use the address you write from for anything except answering you.

Your controls

• See it.Everything Valet knows about a person is on that person's card, visible in the app.
• Correct it. Tell Valet it is wrong and it updates.
• Delete it. Delete a single fact, a whole person, or your entire account. Deleting a person removes their facts and the receipts attached to them.
• Take it with you. Ask us and we will send you everything we hold in a readable file.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights over your information, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Write to us and we will help.

Who else touches it

Valet runs on services we pay to do specific jobs: hosting and the database, payment processing, error monitoring and analytics, and the AI models that turn what you say into something useful. They process this information on our instructions to run Valet, and none of them are allowed to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

How long we keep it

Facts stay as long as you keep them, because they are the product. The original message or screenshot behind a fact is kept for a correction window and then reduced to a short note of where the fact came from. Delete your account and we remove your data from our systems, with backups cycling out shortly after.

Children

Valet is not for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Adults do use Valet to remember things about the children in their lives, which is the same thing a parent writing a birthday on a calendar is doing. A parent can share a child's page with family, and stop, under the same rules as any shared page. It is held under the same rules as everything else on this page.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you before it takes effect rather than quietly updating the date at the top.
