Valet holds what you tell it about the people you love. That is a serious thing to be handed, so here is exactly what happens to it, written to be read rather than to be survived.

We promise

• Valet never contacts your people. It writes to you. What you send is always your send.
• We never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to brokers, not to anyone.
• We never build a profile of someone across users. What you tell Valet about a person stays inside your account. Two people who both know the same person have two separate, unconnected notes.
• We never buy or look up information about your people. Valet knows what you told it. Nothing arrives from outside.
• We never train shared models on what you tell us.
• Everything Valet holds is yours to see, edit, and delete. That is not fine print. It is the deal.

What Valet stores

Your account. Your email or phone number, and your subscription status. Payment is handled by our payment processor and we never see your card details.

What you tell it about your people. Facts, dates, preferences, and the plans you make. Some of this you type. Some of it comes from things you forward or say out loud to Valet. Each fact keeps a short note about where it came from, so Valet can show you why it suggested something.

How you use the app. Basic product analytics and crash reports, so we can tell what is broken.

If someone added you to their Valet

You are reading this because a friend or family member uses Valet, and you may be one of the people they use it to show up for. Almost no product tells you this. We think you should be told.

What may be here. Things they know about you and wanted to remember. Your birthday. That you have been into ceramics lately. That your interview was on a Thursday. It is the kind of thing a thoughtful friend keeps in their head, kept somewhere they will not lose it instead.

How it got here. They put it there. They typed it, forwarded it, or said it. Valet did not look you up, did not buy anything about you, and is not reading your messages. It has no access to anything of yours.

What it is never used for. We do not contact you. We do not advertise to you. We do not sell anything about you. We do not combine what one person knows about you with what anyone else knows about you, and we do not build a profile of you across accounts. Your information is used for one thing: helping the person who knows you show up for you.

If you would rather not be in there. The most direct route is to ask them, because they can remove you in a few seconds and it is their notebook. If you would rather come to us, write to privacy@dynolabs.co and we will find and delete what we hold about you. We may need enough detail to identify the right records. We will not tell you who has you in their Valet, because that is their private information, and we will not use the address you write from for anything except answering you.

Your controls

• See it.Everything Valet knows about a person is on that person's card, visible in the app.
• Correct it. Tell Valet it is wrong and it updates.
• Delete it. Delete a single fact, a whole person, or your entire account. Deleting a person removes their facts and the receipts attached to them.
• Take it with you. Ask us and we will send you everything we hold in a readable file.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights over your information, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Write to us and we will help.

Who else touches it

Valet runs on services we pay to do specific jobs: hosting and the database, payment processing, error monitoring and analytics, and the AI models that turn what you say into something useful. They process this information on our instructions to run Valet, and none of them are allowed to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

How long we keep it

Facts stay as long as you keep them, because they are the product. The original message or screenshot behind a fact is kept for a correction window and then reduced to a short note of where the fact came from. Delete your account and we remove your data from our systems, with backups cycling out shortly after.

Children

Valet is not for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Adults do use Valet to remember things about the children in their lives, which is the same thing a parent writing a birthday on a calendar is doing. It is held under the same rules as everything else on this page.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you before it takes effect rather than quietly updating the date at the top.
